GNC gas stations: Here you can refuel compressed natural gas in Sapin
CNG is growing at a forced pace in acceptance and registration. It is a type of fuel cleaner than gasoline or diesel, consumes less and also the vehicles that use it have the ECO label. If you already have a vehicle powered by CNG or you plan to acquire one, here are the main supply points in Spain.
The increasingly restrictive regulations to traditional fuels such as diesel, the ecological feeling of harming the planet as little as possible and, above all, the low consumption that they are homologated, are achieving a rapid acceptance of vehicles driven by Compressed Natural Gas -a from now on GNC-, as well as a growing increase in registrations. A good example of this can be found in the Seat León TGI, which sold out all the production planned for the whole year in the month of June.
Being a type of fuel cleaner than gasoline or diesel, all those vehicles powered by CNG have the ECO label of the DGT, which allows to travel through cities such as Madrid in episodes of high pollution and parking in parking areas regulated without restrictions. The advantages do not end there, and this type of cars have a 75% discount on the tax on vehicles of mechanical traction, the exemption of the payment of the tax of registration and discounts in parkings and tolls.
A lower consumption thanks to the combination of the gasoline engine with the CNG, also entails a greater autonomy, close to 1,300 km in some models. If the CNG tank is finished, there is no need to worry, since the gasoline engine will continue to move the vehicle normally – you will not even notice the change of fuel during the march.
