Which are the Spanish provinces with more (and less) `clean cars´?

Spanish provinces with more hybrid and electric cars are Baleares (15,2%), Guipúzcoa (14,5%) and Barcelona (13,4%), according to conclusions extracted from the report `How does your car move? ´, drawn up by Unión Española de Entidades Aseguradoras y Reaseguradoras (UNESPA), meant report analyses the answer by the clean vehicles in each Spanish region.

In absolute terms, the cities with more of this kind of vehicles are Barcelona (60.888), Madrid (55.788) and Valencia (55.786), it is explained because of the great density of their local fleet.

So, cities with a longest proportion of non-polluted transport in day to day are Jávea (Alicante), Mazarrón (Murcia) and Calvia (Baleares), with a 26,6%, 23,2% and 20,7% of electric vehicles respectively.

On the other side, Teruel with a 1,4% of electric drivers; Segovia, with a 2,7% and Cuenca, with a 2,8%.
According with Automobile Insurance Statistics (ESA in Spanish), in Spain there are 23 million of insurance cars, 2 million of them (9% of the total amount) drive thanks to non-conventional engines. The rest of them are diesel cars (13,8 millions) and gasoline (7,4 millions).

The report, named as `We are sure´ initiative from UNESPA, also reflects what kind of car drives each driver depending on age and sex. So, in hybrid and electric cars, most of the people are between 45 and 55 years old. By sex, seven out of ten electric and hybrid are driven by males.

A very similar proportion happens with diesel (73% are males) and gasoline (66% male drivers). By ages, six out of ten are hybrid or electric car are driven by 30 year-old males.
